Alicia Conrardy is a digital repository specialist at Colorado State University Libraries (CSU) where she is responsible for coordinating technical, bibliographic, and metadata for CSU’s digital repository collections. Celebrating a Decade of the Open Textbook Library: Author and Guitarist Chelsea Green on Writing an Open Textbook

Chelsea Green is an associate professor of music at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Drawing on her experience as a professional guitar soloist and ensemble player, Chelsea also directs the Cairo Guitar Collective (CGC) and the AUC Guitar Ensemble, both of which perform regularly throughout Egypt. In 2020, the Rebus Community published Chelsea’s first open textbook, Sight-Reading for Guitar: The Keep Going Method Book and Video Series (CC BY), which is included in the Open Textbook Library.

Open Textbook Library Collection Reaches 1,000
This month the Open Textbook Library’s collection of open educational resources (OER) reached 1,000 titles, all available at no cost to higher education students. The searchable, online catalog of openly licensed materials is hosted by the Open Education Network (OEN) based at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Open Education.
