Celebrating a Decade of the Open Textbook Library: Alicia Conrardy on OTL Cataloging Development

Alicia Conrardy is a digital repository specialist at Colorado State University Libraries (CSU) where she is responsible for coordinating technical, bibliographic, and metadata for CSU’s digital repository collections. Her cataloging expertise and guidance during the OTL’s early years profoundly impacted the library’s growth that we’re celebrating in 2022.

Chelsea Green is an associate professor of music at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Drawing on her experience as a professional guitar soloist and ensemble player, Chelsea also directs the Cairo Guitar Collective (CGC) and the AUC Guitar Ensemble, both of which perform regularly throughout Egypt. In 2020, the Rebus Community published Chelsea’s first open textbook,  Sight-Reading for Guitar: The Keep Going Method Book and Video Series (CC BY), which is included in the Open Textbook Library.

Christina Hendricks is Professor of Teaching in Philosophy, and Academic Director of the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology at the University of British Columbia Vancouver. She is the editor of the Introduction to Philosophy series (CC BY). Her focus is on teaching and learning relating to undergraduate students, with an interest in “the quality and efficacy of open textbooks.”

Duy Vo is a senior at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, set to graduate this spring with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the College of Biological Sciences. Since 2020, Duy has worked for the Open Textbook Library (OTL) as a Student Admin, and as he prepares to leave, both he and the library are about to celebrate significant milestones.
