Comprehensiveness
The book includes all major topics in educational psychology such as motivation, learning theories, diversity, instruction, student diversity and managing a classroom.
Content Accuracy
The book is pretty accurate in all major theories and learning principles.
Relevance/Longevity
This relates to the nature of the topics. The content of the book can be used for quite a few years, as they apply to major theories. For certain topics such as instruction and classroom management, student diversity, they may need some updates to combine the latest research findings in a few years.
Clarity
The book is easy to read.
Consistency
The writing is consistent, and there is a framework of flows of topics similar to many educational psychology books.
Modularity
The book is divided into chapters with small reading sections that can be assigned by the instructor. Instructors can choose which parts to read, without referring back to the rest of the chapter.
Organization/Structure/Flow
The book is well organized, and information is presented in a logical, clear fashion.
Interface
I did not find any navigation problems, or distortion of images/charts in the book.
Grammatical Errors
The book is well written. Some writing can be improved, but it is error free.
Cultural Relevance
I did not find any bias or culturally insensitive information in the book.
CommentsAll in all, this is a good, ready to use, freely available book that is suitable for any undergraduate classes that focus on educational psychology. Almost all topics that are relevant to basic educational psychology can be found, selected from the book.
