As an Adult Basic Education educator Ienjoyed that the author promotes the students lived experiences and connects it with the text. I also want to add that Arizona has a civics exam that is a required supplement of the offical GED exam. In Oregon we don't have that added caveat with our offical GED state exam. I would highly recommend this book for independent learners and instructors.
