    About the Book

This textbook reflects the author’s experience as a finance educator and industry practitioner and draws on foundational finance theory, applied managerial finance practice, open educational resources, and publicly available institutional data. The references listed here represent works that have influenced the author’s analytical framework, teaching approach, and application of financial concepts, rather than serving as direct sources for all explanations or examples. When possible, open-access and freely available sources are prioritized in support of the goals of open education.

    About the Contributors

    Author

I am a strategy, finance, general management and leadership development executive with more than 20 years of expertise in initiating, leading and delivering cross-functional transformational business and nonprofit solutions. I have experience teaching in the traditional face-to-face, blended and online platforms at the graduate and undergraduate levels. I believe that to be most effective as an instructor, one must facilitate student learning in a forum that is interactive and collaborative and that promotes problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Much like a coach, I apply a wide variety of strategies and mediums to motivate and provide encouragement throughout the process to promote positive learning: including leveraging my past work experiences to connect the scholastic concepts in ways which allows the learner to understand them better and to have break-through moments.
