Exhaustividad
This is similar to a handbook - but elevated. The material is comprehensive and includes step by step components both in the text and the supportive materials.
Precisión de contenido
This text explains what the design mapping is and is not. For a course that teaches strategy and planning this would be helpful. In fact, there are even components that could be connected to mind mapping as well.
Relevancia / Longevidad
It is appreciated that this open access textbook is current (2024). Sometimes the open access textbooks are dated but this text is recent which increases its academic value for those who need books that are published within the past 5 years.
Claridad
The book is formatted well and easy to follow with appropriate infographics. It starts with an overall definition then moves forward as it uses scaffolding approach.
Consistencia
The framework is helpful for the entire text, and it is presented using a template format, so the reader knows what to expect and where to locate.
Modularidad
There is an opportunity to use components of the text but that would need to be done within context from the instructor if they aren't getting the foundation first that is provided in this text.
Organización / Estructura / Flujo
Well organized and presented logically.
Interfaz
Navigation is done with ease.
Errores gramaticales
No grammatical errors were noted.
Relevancia cultural
Increased diversity representation in the images is needed along with non-western perspectives.
ComentariosInteresting and quality OER!

Acerca del libro
DESIGN ROADMAPPING is for anyone interested in design, strategy and innovation, and its wonderful combinations. For those who dare to create a future vision, frame the time pacing and map the pathways towards it.
This guidebook teaches you how to create a roadmap. It outlines the origins, design theories and science results. Strategic designers, innovation managers and professors share their roadmapping experiences, views and achievements, including venture CPOs, Head of Design, product and program managers of international companies such as Canon, Peerby, Ferrari, Philips, Victoria State Library and many more.
By design roadmapping you devise creative responses to future strategic challenges. Guided by future foresight techniques, you uncover new trends, scout for new technologies and map the values and ideas on the roadmap. Through strong visualization, a design roadmap supports an organizational mindset on value innovations.
