    About the Book

    This book has been designed to provide a range of workplace scenarios that can be utilised for experiential learning covering difficult conversations, negotiation and mediation. The scenarios provide learners with the opportunity to engage in different role-plays and provide learners with the opportunity to reflect on their experience with reflective questions.

    About the Contributors

    Author

    Dr Sarah Steen is a Senior Lecturer in the Deakin Business School. She is the Course Director of Bachelor of HRM (Psychology) and responsible for teaching operations in the Management Discipline. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and in 2025 received a Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education and Employability and was awarded the Faculty of Business and Law Service Excellence Award. She has received an Australasian award for Recognition of Excellence and Contribution to Student Learning (PASS) and received a Vice Chancellor's award for her honours thesis on Questioning the Value of Usefulness of Student Evaluation of Teaching. Sarah is an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated university educator with a proven fifteen-year track record of outstanding teaching excellence with extensive undergraduate and postgraduate experience.
