About the Contributors
Authors
Dr. Kyuin Kim is a Korean language lecturer at the University of Sheffield, UK. Her research interests include Korean language education, cultural education, and intercultural competence. She is the co-author of Basic English for the Korean Classroom(University of Sheffield, 2023) and led the “Daebak Easy Korean” project on the Udemy education platform. She is currently working on a book titled Learning Korean through Culture, which helps intermediate to advanced learners deepen their understanding of the language by exploring key aspects of Korean society. A passionate Korean food lover, her love for cuisine played a key role in inspiring this book.
Hyunjung Lee is a Korean language lecturer at the University of California, Irvine, USA. She has been also working for Sup sogŭi Hosu, an immersive Korean language camp, as a credit teacher and/or facilitator for years. She developed “Daebak Easy Korean”, a beginner-level Korean language course published on Udemy, with Dr. Kyuin Kim. Her research interests include Korean language education, cultural education and content-based learning, and as a result, she enjoyed writing this book.
